Doniya Hussain

Doniya Hussain:

I was born in California but raised in NOVA. I've always loved animals but never thought of it as a career until now. Growing up my family only ever had cats, now my life revolves around my two dramatic huskies! Let's just say I never have a dull moment. In my spare time I enjoy going on hikes with my husband and my dogs and enjoy quality time with my six sisters as we all share a passion for fashion!

Alexa Carter:

I was born and raised in Northern Virginia. I started in the veterinary industry during my senior year in high school, at first in the kennel and then later as a veterinary assistant. After high school, I enrolled at Northern Virginia Community College and eventually transferred to Virginia Tech. My family and I share two energetic Cocker Spaniels, Colt and Taz. In my spare time I enjoy reading as much as I can and spending time with my friends.

Dan Gallinaro:

I was born and raised in Northern Virginia. I went to high school at Bishop Ireton and graduated with a degree in biology at James Madison University. I've always wanted to work with animals and OVVH is a great place. In my spare time I enjoy playing water polo with my high school's team and watching football. Go Ravens!

(Currently attending VA Tech School of Veterinary Medicine)

I got my associates degree in the Sciences.  I'm currently attending NOVA's Veterinary Tech program. You can find me either at a barn riding horses or spending time with my husband and friends. Our family currently consists of two very spunky felines named Peaches and Roxie!

I graduated from the University of Virginia in 2013 and spent a year working in Charlottesville before moving back to Northern Virginia. I started working at OVVH in March of 2015 and am currently attending NOVA's Vet Tech Program. I currently have one boisterous Australian shepherd and one chubby cat at home.

Shannon O'Rourke:

Having grown up in a military household I've had the pleasure of living and traveling to numerous places throughout my life. My inspiration to work in the veterinary field stems from the career path of my oldest brother and role model, who works with dogs as an army ranger. In my spare time you can find me crafting up a storm or hiking with friends and my two amazing pups, Sheena a brilliant German Shepherd, and Mosby an energetic Australian Shepherd.

 Tiffany Sarandis

 Tiffany Sarandis:

I am originally from Vermont and was happy to join the OVVH team in August of 2015. I’ve been a technician in the veterinary field for about 10 years now and this career truly makes my heart happy. My passion for animals began very early in life. As a child I was fascinated by all creatures not just cats and dogs, but snakes, birds, frogs, and bumble bees too. My mother would “love it” when I’d catch something in the yard and bring it inside for show and tell! I love them all, big and small. In my free time I like to explore and hike with my dog Gunner (and Fiancé Mark), practice and teach yoga, craft, collect and travel the world as much as possible. I look forward to meeting you

Isabele Silvestre:
I was born in Mexico City and raised in Annandale, VA. I've been working with animals for over 8 years & I've been part of the OVVH team for almost 4 years! I spend most of my free time spoiling my son Nicholas, chasing my dog Mia and finding hidden treasures from Arthur my mischievous ferret. I love spending time outdoors with my sister Marisol and watching movies with my boyfriend Oscar.

I was born and raised in Annandale, VA. I have always loved animals, especially dogs and cats. I have worked in the dog industry for 5 years and am excited to get more experience with cats. Outside of animals, I fell in love with Anthropology and completed my B.A. and M.A. at Christopher Newport University and George Mason University. After following other academic interests, I decided that I wanted to return to my other passion: animals. OVVH is my first opportunity in the veterinary medicine field and I could not be more excited!
